Welcome to Denison TX we are glad you stopped by today. We are always out and about looking for the opportunity to share our community with you. Take a moment to view the short video of the Denison area , the Red River Rail Road Museum MKT setting area just outside of the museum itself. This area would make a great photo shoot to make memories of your visit to the community.

There are several memorials that would make a great time to learn more about Denison and the RED RIVER RAIL ROAD  museum.

The Missouri, Kansas and Texas therefore called MKT railroad was established in 1872 to allow the rail head of the wilderness of the RED River area to grow and prosper. The town of Denison grew quickly to upwards of Three Thousand people in a short time of around 100 days. That is a quick move for back in the day considering traveling was very different than it is now. Take a step back into the past when you visit the Red River Railroad Museum. Well worth the trip.

The Katy Depot used to be the center of the railroads operations station until Mid August of the year 1988. At that time the railroad merged with Union Pacific railroad systems. At that time it was also called Union Depot to go along with the merger of the Union Pacific Railroad, as time moved forward the addition of the Frisco, Houston and Texas Central systems became part of the Southern Pacific Rail system. Red River Railroad Museum MKT

Really looking forward to our Annual Railroad days here in Fullerton.  My grandson's favorite day after Christmas.

I hope you join YouTube Thursdays, Laura - if you haven't already. ( I can't remember. Ha.) I'd love to feature some of your videos and help give others some inspiration to "just do it." D

Laura, always nice to know a bit of history of a City, especially if you are relocating into the area.

Laura Filip - Dennison is quite a hike for me but I have visited Dennison on more than one occasion and found it to be charming. I also went to the Association for Professional Development and found the people to be most friendly. Plus there are some great restaurants too! You'll definitetly be my point of contact for anyone wanting to buy in your area.
